19 Action News reporter Denise Zarrella hosted a launch party Saturday in Avon Lake to showcase her new book, "Not Even the Sky is the Limit."
"Not Even the Sky is the Limit" highlights the abilities of children and adults with Down Syndrome.
Denise's daughter Gianna, who has Down Syndrome, inspired her to write the book.
Denise said the idea for "Not Even the Sky is the Limit" came from an ABC book she received as a gift when her daughter was born.
"It featured children with Down Syndrome, and they looked happy and well-adjusted. The book gave us hope for our daughter," Denise said.
The book features color photographs of people dancing, painting, and enjoying other activities.
"I wanted to give people a positive message about people with disabilities. These are not throwaway lives," Denise said.
A portion of proceeds from Not Even the Sky is the Limit will be donated to organizations that improve the lives of people who live with Down Syndrome.
