A suspect wanted in connection with the shooting that injured three people over the weekend landed in jail Monday afternoon.
Two 19-year-olds and a 15-year-old were hit by bullets in the late-night shootout between two men in the 2300 block of Milam Street around 10:30 p.m. Friday in Shreveport. All three of them are expected to recover.
Shreveport Police say two groups of people left a football game and got into some type of argument. That argument escalated into a fight which led to shots being fired, according to police spokesman Marcus Hines.
The two gunmen reportedly left the scene on foot. Investigators with the Shreveport Violent Crimes Unit say they gathered evidence linking 19-year-old Kristopher McClain of the 3100 block of Milam Street, and arrested him on Monday.
Police say they are confident additional arrests are imminent. They are asking anyone with information on this case to call Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373, or submit a tip anonymously online.
