WHITE OAK, TX (KLTV) -

It's called "Trash Our Yard," and even today, piles of trash bags are forming at the Ferguson's home.

David and Kathy Ferguson are collecting cans, specifically, to make money to go toward their $32,000 adoption fees. To date, they have received nearly 300 pounds of cans.

They say though cans aren't worth a whole lot of money, every bit counts in getting their new baby boy to Texas.

"Every little thing, like Kathy was saying, counts. But not only does it count, it makes everybody, whether they donated one can or $2,000, it doesn't matter. Each person that is involved in these fundraisers and helps us, they're part of changing a life," David Ferguson, the new dad, said.

A company has also pledged to match their profit up to $2,500. The couple already has one daughter from China, but is hoping to bring over a brother within the next four months. They plan to continue the fundraiser until needs are met.

If you would like to contribute cans or funds to help the family with this adoption, you may contact them as follows:
