SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police have arrested three men in connection with the robbery and beating of another man outside a Shreveport Walmart.

Police say it happened just after 10:30 p.m. Monday at the Walmart on East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. Officers were called to the scene and found the victim suffering what they describe as non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released.

Investigators gathered that he had been robbed of his wallet and cash at the hands of three men seen fleeing the scene on foot. Officers were given descriptions of the man and which direction they were last seen heading.

Within minutes, police say they found and captured one of the men after a brief foot chase. The two others were captured a short time later at a nearby apartment complex.

19-year-old Brian Allen, 19-year-old Marcus Taylor and 18-year-old Eric Parker; all of Alexandria, Louisiana, were booked into the Shreveport City Jail where they now face charges of Second Degree Robbery.

Police say the investigation into the robbery remains active as authorities seek additional details surrounding the incident.
