Frank Black, search coordinator for Texas EquuSearch, has confirmed the group will join the search for a missing Sabine Parish man.
The group will meet with Procell's family and law enforcement at 9 a.m. Monday.
Procell, 25, is believed to have been kidnapped from his home at gunpoint by Natchitoches police officer Robert Barthelemy.
Barthelemy remains in custody at the Sabine Parish Detention Center, charged with aggravated kidnapping and home invasion.
Crews have searched an area in the Kisatchie National Forest where Barthelemy allegedly told authorities he dropped Procell off to walk on the day of his disappearance. Finding no sign of Procell there, the search was widened to general areas in Sabine, DeSoto and Natchitoches parishes in the following days.
On Friday and Saturday, the search focused on a wooded area of LA 1226, just outside of Clarence in Natchitoches Parish.
In spite of authorities urging them not to do so, citing concerns about safety and the preservation of any evidence they might find, friend and family members have formed search parties of their own.
While Procell's family has asked for the Texas-based non-profit search and rescue organization's assistance, their participation would have to be approved by the sheriff's office.
A spokesperson for Texas EquuSearch could not be reached Sunday to confirm the request or whether they have agreed to assist.
Texas EquuSearch (TES) is an all-volunteer organization and has been involved in such high-profile abduction cases as Natalee Holloway and Caylee Anthony. They typically work with law enforcement, and bring their own equipment and resources, ranging from horses to SAR dog teams and scuba divers.
