SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A warrant has been issued for a suspect in the deadly shooting of a Shreveport man late Saturday night.

21-year-old Rico Allen is wanted on a charge of second degree murder in the death of 25-year-old Jacoby Taylor. His bond has been set at $200,000.

Police say officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2900 block of Poland Street just after 10 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they were met by members of the Shreveport Fire Department, who confirmed that Jacoby had died of a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Detectives were called in and have since learned that a man was seen firing a number of shots from a vehicle nearby into the crowd standing in the area at the time, and it is believed that was when Jacoby was struck and killed.

The suspected shooter, now identified as Allen, ran from the vehicle on foot. Police searched the area, but were unable to find Allen.

While he is believed to currently be homeless, police say Allen is known to frequent the Lakeside neighborhood.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Rico Allen is to Contact Caddo Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373 or on their website at www.lockemup.org.
