A local man convicted of impersonating a police officer and raping a woman in 2004 was indicted Monday on similar charges.

Ray Cobia, 42, of Price Hill, spent four years in prison for sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in April 2004. Police said he lured the girl into his car by saying he was a parole and probation officer.

Cobia was arrested on August 7 for an alleged incident that happened in July of this year.

He has been charged with impersonating a police officer, two counts of rape, two counts of sexual battery and two counts of criminal child enticement.

Cobia is being held on $800,000 bond in the Hamilton County Justice Center.
