Senator Pryor: Campaign already negative 15 months out
Arkansas Senator Mark Pryor says his re-election campaign is already turning negative.
TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA) -
Arkansas U.S. Senator Mark Pryor made a visit to south Arkansas on Saturday.
Pryor joined the National Shooting Sports Foundation and the Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department for a firearm safety event.
The democrat is seeking re-election in 2014.
Earlier this week, Republican Congressman Tom Cotton announced he will challenge Pryor for his seat. Pryor said the race is already taking a negative turn. "They went up with negative ads against me in February and that was like 21 months away from the election. We are still 15 months away from the election and outside groups have already spent over a million dollars trying to beat me up and tear me down again", Pryor said.
Pryor says he always tries to put people first by listening to their concerns.
The senator also stopped in Hope for the annual Watermelon festival.
