The Caddo Parish Coroner says it could take a while to identify a man found floating in the Red River near the Shreveport Barksdale bridge Friday afternoon.

Coroner Dr. Todd Thoma says it could take some time to identify the person.  He has confirmed the victim is a male in his 30's or 40's.

Boaters spotted the body floating just after 5 p.m. Friday afternoon.

Investigators believe the body may have been in the water anywhere from 2 to 7 days.  He was wearing shorts and white tennis shoes.  There was no identification found and no signs of foul play.
