MILLER CO, AR (KSLA) -

3 people have died in an early morning wreck on I30 in Miller County, according to officials on the scene.

It happened around 2:30 Saturday morning near mile marker 12, involving multiple cars and 18-wheelers.

The latest information from the scene indicates that an 18-wheeler collided with a car, and a second crash happened shortly after when another vehicle approaching the accident scene stopped and was struck by another 18-wheeler.

Cleanup from the wreckage closed the eastbound lane between Texarkana and Fulton. Traffic has been diverted to Hwy 67 as cleanup continues. As of 1:30 p.m., traffic was still backed up in the area.
