RED RIVER PARISH, LA (KSLA) -
A Jonesboro, Louisiana woman has died in a one-car wreck in Red River Parish.
State Police Tpr. Albert Paxton says troopers were called to the scene at 7 a.m. Tuesday, where the 51-year-old Reda Bullock's 2004 Chevy Malibu was found overturned in a ditch along Highway 784 near Coushatta.
It's not known when the accident happened. Investigators on the scene believe Bullock was heading east on Hwy 784 just west of Hwy 507 when she went off the right side of the road, over-corrected, and then went off the left side of the road. At that point, the car went into a ditch and struck a tree.
Bullock, who police say was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
State police are investigating the cause of the wreck, but they say they do not believe alcohol was involved.
