Fire damages duplex in Bossier City

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

Fire heavily damaged part of a duplex Sunday afternoon in Bossier City.

Firefighters responded to the home in the 1100 block of Beverly street around 2:30 p.m.  Crews reported flames coming from an upstairs room of the building.

According to Bossier City spokesman Mark Natale, no one was home at the time of the fire.

Fire personnel were able to contain the blaze to the upstairs and keep it from spreading to the first floor of the duplex and the other side of the structure.

Fire investigators have no cause for the fire at this time.
