Centenary releases women's basketball schedule

A tough, non-conference slate paired with 14 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contests compiles the 2013-14 edition of the Centenary women's basketball schedule. The Ladies' ledger consists of 10 outings in the friendly confines of the Gold Dome.

"We are entering into our second year of the SCAC and I think our non-conference schedule will prepare (us) for our tough conference play," said head coach Kristen Davis. "We hit the road quite a bit for non-conference, but we do get to host both LSU Shreveport and Louisiana College at the Gold Dome. These games are always intense and draw great student and community attendance."

The Maroon and White open the season on Nov. 16 at the University of Texas at Tyler at 1 p.m. before its home lid-lifter against cross-town foe LSUS on Nov. 19.

The Ladies host Rhodes on Dec. 16 before closing out the pre-holiday portion of the slate at Millsaps on Dec. 18. Centenary closes out the December schedule on Dec. 30 against Louisiana College in the Gold Dome.

A road, outing against Hendrix marks the first contest of the new year on Jan. 4. The Maroon and White returns to SCAC play with four straight, road contests before returning to the Gold Dome to welcome conference newcomers Texas Lutheran and Schriener on Jan. 24 and 26 respectively.
