Joint drug investigation nets 3 arrests, drugs, guns and money

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A four-month investigation has led to the arrests of three Shreveport men on a laundry list of drug charges.

Investigators with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit arrested the men while executing two search warrants at two different Shreveport homes on Monday, July 15.

The first warrant was executed at in the 100 block of Lister Street. That's where Ray Allen Martin and Matthew Williams, both 23, were arrested. During the search of the residence, agents say they found about 138 grams of marijuana; numerous dosage units of prescription amphetamines, barbiturates, and hydrocodone diverted for street sale, 249 grams of synthetic marijuana, 2 sets of digital scales, a cannabis bible, $3,377.00 cash, four firearms with ammunition.

Matthew Williams was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of firearm with Controlled Dangerous Substances.

Ray Allen Martin was charged with five counts of distribution of synthetic marijuana, distribution of marijuana, distribution of codeine, possession of synthetic marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of schedule III narcotics with intent to distribute, possession of schedule III narcotics, possession of schedule IV narcotics, and possession of a firearm with Controlled Dangerous Substances.

The second warrant was executed in the 300 block of East 67th Street, where 32-year-old Jakarri Demery was arrested. During the search of the residence, agents say they discovered about 1,475,5 grams of synthetic marijuana, a digital scale, $1,100.00 cash, and a firearm with ammunition.
 
Jakarri Demery was charged with possession of synthetic marijuana with intent to distribute.

All suspects were booked directly into the Caddo Correctional Center.
