Family members of two the three victims who were found stabbed to death at the 4900 block of Gloria Dr. on July 19th are speaking out about their lost loved ones.
Police were called to a home in the 4900 block of Gloria Drive at 9:45 p.m. after a relative went inside the home and found the bodies. The Caddo Coroner's Office reports that the victims were stabbed to death.
SPD Cpl. Marcus Hines confirms the dead are two women and one man. They are been identified as 41- year old Carisa Ellison, 58-year-old, and 78-year old Irene Ellison. Irene is said to be Carisa's mother.
Natalie Ellison McKnight, Irene's niece, says "I couldn't believe it. I couldn't imagine it because I'm like who would do something like this."
Meshelle Ellison says she trembles and shakes when she thinks about her beautiful Aunt Irene. "My Aunt made the comment that she felt like her sister begged for her life. I know she didn't raise her voice. I know she wanted to know why. I know she was saying don't do this." She adds, "Even in the midst of what was happening to her, I know she knew that everything was going to be ok."
The Ellison family says they will lean on each other after the blade of a knife left a gaping hole in their family.
"You don't think about them being taken away from you in such a horrific manner. For it to end like this. Even the life my cousin lived. She's a good person, a mother, a good sister, cousin and for it to end so tragic and I think that's what makes it so much harder," says Mechelle.
Visitation for Carisa and Irene Ellison will be held on July 26th at 6:30 p.m. at Winnfield Funeral Home on Hollywood Ave.
The funeral will be on July 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Praise Temple Gull Gospel on Greenwood Rd. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
