DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -- Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey has declined to join twin brother Maurkice in apologizing for wearing a baseball cap that supported former college teammate Aaron Hernandez.
The Pounceys were photographed a week ago wearing hats that read "Free Hernandez" during their birthday party in Miami.
Hernandez played at the University of Florida with the Pounceys in 2007-09. The former New England Patriots tight end is charged with a murder in Massachusetts and has pleaded not guilty.
Following the Dolphins' first training camp practice Sunday, Mike Pouncey said he didn't want to discuss his cap because he wanted to focus on football.
