SIBLEY, LA (KSLA) -

A 19-year-old Sibley mother already out on bail on a charge of cruelty to a juvenile is now back in jail on a different charge, after the death of her 4-month-old baby.

Webster Parish Sheriff's deputies responded to the Southwood Apartments just south of Sibley at about 7:45 p.m. Friday. That's where they found the body of the child, identified as 4-month-old Riley Tyson.

Sheriff Gary Sexton says his mother, Britney Tyson, admitted to shaking the child. But Sheriff Sexton says an autopsy shows that the baby died of suffocation, after being laid down on his stomach with a blanket.

Britney Tyson being held at the Webster Parish Jail. Sexton says she will likely face a charge of negligent homicide. She is expected to make her first court appearance on Monday.
