BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

Bossier City Police have released surveillance video of the suspect in an attempted armed robbery of a local family, in hopes that it will generate tips that will lead to an arrest.

It happened at the Cloverdale Apartments in the 2200 block of Shed Road around 3 p.m. Wednesday. Police say the victims, a man and a woman, told them they were inside the woman's apartment when a man armed with two handguns entered the apartment and demanded money. The man, who they say had a red beanie pulled down over part of his face, then reportedly hit the male victim in the head with one of the weapons before running away without taking anything.

The suspect was caught on security camera video getting into a burnt orange-colored Mitsubishi Eclipse and driving away.

He is described by police as a black male, about 5'8" tall, 170 pounds, with a medium build and was wearing a red beanie on his head along with a black shirt and black shorts.

Anyone who can help police locate this suspect is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100. Police emphasize that callers to Crime Stoppers may remain totally anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
