Five people were arrested early Monday morning after breaking into a Shreveport convenience store.
Shreveport police officers responded to the Triple J in the 4100 block of Hearne avenue just before 3:00 a.m. Investigators found the front glass broken and observed a group of suspects running from the business. Five people, including two juveniles, were arrested following a brief foot chase.
Arrested were Vernon Wynn III, 18, of Shreveport; Zues Adger, 18, of Shreveport; Marquis Claville, 18, of Shreveport; and two juveniles, ages 16 and 17. All are charged with simple burglary.
Investigators say one of the men used a foreign object and threw it through a window, prompting the others to do the same.
Police confiscated a duffel bag full of items that had been taken from the business.
This is the third break-in at the convenience store in recent weeks.
