TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA) -

Texarkana, Arkansas Police chased down two men after a two-hour search in the heat of the day.

Richard Williams, 28, and Jeremy Sims, 32, found out the hard way not to run from the police in 90-degree weather.

Asked how hot it was out there, one of the arrested men told KSLA News 12, "It's pretty hot -- too damn hot."

Police say they were checking a vehicle they believed might have been stolen when Williams, Sims and a third man spotted them and began running.

Authorities searched for the men for two hours in a wooded area.

Williams and Sims got caught but the third man got away.

No one was injured.

The men are being charged with fleeing.
