PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Interstate 10 has partially reopened following a produce spill inside the Desk Park Tunnel.

The westbound HOV lane and three left lanes are back open. Two right lanes remain closed while crews inspect for possible damage done to the roadway and clean up the produce spilled by a semitrailer.

Crews have their work cut out for them as dozens of watermelons and other produce are tossed across the roadway after a semitrailer jackknifed, dumping the fruit onto the roadway.

DPS Officer Carrick Cook said the driver of the truck hit the wall in the tunnel while trying to avoid traffic. No one was injured.

At 2:30 p.m., ADOT had estimated the lanes would be closed for up to four hours. ADOT engineers were en route to examine the damage to the wall.
