Police seeking man in connection with ETX weapons, ammo theft

The Bowie County Sheriff's Office has issued an arrest warrant for Douglas Kyle Burnett for the burglary of a residence in Maud.
According to Jeffery Neal, Chief Deputy at the Bowie County Sheriff's Office, a sheriff's investigator recovered 13 firearms, a crossbow and a large amount of ammunition taken in the burglary. Items stolen in another burglary in the Simms area were recovered as well. Tips called in to the sheriff's department helped to locate the items and identify Burnett as a suspect.
Burnett, 24, stands 5'9" and weighs 150 pounds, is aware of the warrant and is avoiding contact with law enforcement. Authorities believe he did not act alone in this crimes.
Anyone with information on Burnett's whereabouts is asked to call 911 so he can be apprehended, and anyone with information about Burnett's accomplices can contact Investigator David Biggar at 903.628.6815.
