BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

The Bossier City Police Department is asking for help to find a teenager who ran away from home last week.

Makeba (pronounced mah-KAY-bah) Marie Walton, 14, of Bossier City was last seen during the early morning hours of July 3 when she ran away from her residence. She was seen leaving with an acquaintance in a gold colored, older model Chevrolet Caprice.

Detectives have classified her as a runaway and have found nothing to indicate foul play being involved. However, they along with Makeba's family members are concerned for her welfare.

Makeba stands 5-5 and weighs about 175 pounds.

Anyone who has any information regarding her whereabouts is urged to call Bossier City Police at (318) 741-8605.
