Grambling searches for new athletics director

GRAMBLING, LA (KSLA) -

Grambling State joins Louisiana Tech in the search for a new athletic director after Grambling's athletic director Percy "Chico" Caldwell resigned Tuesday.

Caldwell will be replaced by Aaron James on an interim basis. Caldwell was hired in February of 2012. He oversaw the department for a little more than a year. Caldwell replaced J. Lin Dawson who resigned as Grambling's athletics director in June of 2011.

James also stepped in for an interim basis when Dawson left in 2011.

James was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in 2012 and is a member of the Grambling Legends Sports Hall of Fame.
