A Midstate attraction that once spent time on the auction block seems to be a hot property again.
It appears the owners of the Fontanel Mansion have some interesting plans in the works.
According to the Nashville Business Journal, the owners have requested a rezoning amendment to build a rural resort at the Whites Creek tourist spot.
The proposal calls for 140 rooms in 10 buildings next to the mansion about 15 minutes northwest of downtown Nashville.
The Journal reports that Metro planning staff has recommended approving the change, and the planning commission is expected to discuss the issue next week.
