A Shreveport man charged in a 2011 homicide avoided a jury trial with guilty pleas on two counts Monday in Caddo Parish District Court.

Mickey Cade, 32, will spend the next 30 years behind bars. Cade pleaded guilty to manslaughter and armed robbery in a home invasion that cost the life of Delon Williams at a residence in the 200 block of Prospect Avenue.

Judge Ramona Emanuel gave Cade 30 years at hard labor on each count and ordered the sentences to be served concurrently.

Cade entered his guilty pleas shortly after jury selection had begun Monday morning.

Cade's co-defendant in the case, Jacobi Parker, 19, had entered a guilty plea to the same charges last week. Parker pled guilty Friday and is awaiting sentencing.
