AMELIA, LA (WAFB) -
Detectives investigating a shooting have identified two
persons of interest they want to talk to about the case.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office is looking into a
shooting that happened outside a lounge on LA 182 near the Greenwood overpass
in Amelia on June 14 around 2 a.m.
Deputies said three black men walked up to a Hispanic
man and tried to rob him. The victim was shot in the process. He remains
hospitalized and was last listed in fair condition.
Investigators believe a man nicknamed "Diddy"
and another who goes by "Jay" may have information about the crime.
"Diddy" is about 5' 10" to 6' 0"
with a medium build. He has a dark complexion and his hair is in short twists.
He is 23 to 25 years old.
"Jay" is about 5' 7" to 5' 8" with
a medium build. He is 19 or 20 years old.
