TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA) - Texarkana, Arkansas Mayor Wayne Smith says the city will not hire an outside firm to find a new manager. The city's board of directors will do the search.
Smith says the move will save taxpayers more than $20,000.
Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration or a related field.
"Whoever the applicant is, he is going to have to have good communication skills, strong management skills and good financial experience," Smith says.
