SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

It took Shreveport Police a little more than a week to catch a man they believe fired multiple shots at two men while standing in rush hour traffic on Youree Drive.

Cornell Prior, 19, of the 2900 block of Round Grove Lane in Shreveport, was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a warrant charging him with illegal use of a weapon. His bond has been set at $100,000.

Back on May 28, Shreveport Police officers responded to shots fired near the intersection of Youree Drive at East Dalzell Street. Once there, police talked with two men who told them that a man driving a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Caprice, got out of his vehicle, brandished a rifle, and opened fire on them during an argument.

The shooter then returned to his car and left the scene in the sedan, which police found abandoned a short distance away, near the 2500 block of Alberta Street.

Agents with the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force took Prior into custody on Monday evening near the 700 block of Clyde Fant Parkway.
