MOORE, OK (KSLA) -

Two Caddo Parish deputies have just returned from Moore, OK, where they were helping local law enforcement in the days following the EF5 tornado that brought so much destruction on Monday.

Sergeant John May and Lieutenant Jay Long left for Moore just hours after the tornado hit.

On Wednesday, KSLA News 12 spoke to Sgt. May by phone about the experience. May shared some of the most memorable moments from that experience. He also talked about what he saw and the people he met.

"It's everything you've seen on TV, just magnified. the destructive power was just phenomenal."

Sgt. May says that when they arrived, they had no idea what they had driven into. They were assigned to the northeast corner where the perimeter where the destruction ended, to set up a post to deny entry to anyone trying to come into the zone of destruction.
