Shreveport Police are looking for two men they say beat a convenience store clerk while robbing the store early Wednesday in West Shreveport.
The incident happened about 3 a.m. at the RaceWay gas station in the 3700 block of Hearne Avenue, where police responded to a reported armed robbery.
Police say a clerk suffering minor injuries told them that he was attacked by two men while he stood outside in front the store.
After being forced back into the building, the clerk says he was assaulted by one of the men while the other man rummaged through the store's cash register.
Police say the clerk was not seriously injured, suffering a cut to the head. He was taken to a hospital.
The men made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and left on foot.
Police describe each man as standing 5-9 to 5-10 and weighing between 170 and 175 pounds. They wore dark-colored jackets with fur around the hooded section, masks, and sunglasses.
Authorities urge anyone with information about this robbery to contact Caddo Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373 or via their website at www.lockemup.org.
