SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A man wanted in connection to a shooting in the Queensborough neighborhood turned himself in to police Sunday night.

Shreveport police say just before 3 p.m. Sunday they responded to a report of a person shot in the 3100 block of West College Street. When police arrived, they found 18-year-old Desmond Johnson suffering from a gunshot to his lower body. Johnson was taken to LSU Medical Center and is in serious but stable condition. Police say they believe that Johnson was shot after an argument with another man.

Police say around 9 p.m., 18-year-old Cartez Collins arrived at the Shreveport Police Station where he surrendered for his involvement in the shooting. Collins was booked into the Shreveport City Jail and charged with attempted second degree murder.

As the investigation into the shooting continues, police urge anyone with information about this crime to notify Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373 or on their website at www.lockemup.org.
