Posted: Updated:

The one through three hitters in the Oral Roberts lineup combined for four of the Golden Eagles five runs batted in during a 9-2 victory over the Northwestern State baseball team Friday night in Southland Conference action.

Kevin Cho and Brandon Healy each accounted for one RBI while Logan Domenico knocked in two in the Oral Roberts (23-29, 16-10 SLC) effort.  The Demons dropped to 15-40 on the season and 4-22 in league play.

Healy's RBI came in the first inning when he knocked in Cho, who tripled to lead off the game, on a single to second base.

Four batters after Austen Colt hit a homer over the left field wall in the second inning, Domenico went to the plate with Healy on third base and Cho on second.  He put the ball in play to NSU shortstop Matt Burns who committed a throwing error on the play.

Cho knocked in his run in the Oral Roberts fifth with a single to left field that scored Chris Williams from third base.

Domenico knocked in his final run in the seventh inning on a double to center field that scored Healy from first base.  Healy reached on a single on the left side.

Cho, Healy, and Domenico combined for eight hits in 16 at-bats with a walk and two strikeouts. The three combined to score five runs.

Oral Roberts' starting pitcher Drew Bowen (3-3) got the win on seven innings pitched with two runs on four hits and a walk.

Both of the Demons runs came in the seventh inning with RBI singles from seniors Nick Purdy and Todd Wallace.

Purdy's single scored Cort Brinson who reached on a single to right field, and Wallace knocked in Purdy one batter later.

Matt Farmer (0-2) started for Northwestern State and took the loss on 1.1 innings pitched with five runs (two earned) on five hits, two walks, and a strikeout.  After Joey Parrack came on in relief and threw 2.2 scoreless innings, Steven Spann came in for five frames.  He allowed four runs (two earned) on six hits, two walks, and two strikeouts.

Purdy was two-of-four with a run and RBI.  He was the only Demon with more than one hit.  Colt was two-of-five and Nate Goro was one-for-three with two runs scored.

The Golden Eagles put together two big innings with four runs in the second inning and three in the fifth frame.

The season finale will be played on Saturday at 2 o'clock.
