HAUGHTON, LA (KSLA) -

All three daycare workers arrested Wednesday accused of abusing children at the Haughton daycare where they worked have reportedly admitted to acts of cruelty and battery.

The alleged abuse happened over the past couple of weeks at the TLC Child Care & Learning Center on U.S. 80 in Haughton.

31-year-old Fanisty Kennon, 25-year-old Antionikia Moncrief and 23-year-old Tronica Peterson were arrested Wednesday, following an investigation prompted by a tip.

According to the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office, the charges stem from allegations of simple battery and cruelty to a juvenile committed against young children at the daycare center over the past couple of weeks.

The 8 children, ranging in age from 1 to 4 years were allegedly slapped in the face, swatted on the leg or head and had their ears pulled. None were seriously injured, but the alleged abuse reportedly made them cry.

According to the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office, the charges of cruelty to a juvenile were because Peterson slapped a 2-year-old harshly on the back of the head, and in another incident, Moncrief chased a 2-year-old across the playground and slapped the child in the face.  Both incidents were caught on camera.

Kennon admitted to detectives that on two separate occasions she pulled the ears of two small children and thumped the ear of a 4-year-old.

None of the children required medical attention, and detectives have notified all parents of the children involved.

Both Moncrief and Peterson face a charge of cruelty to a juvenile and 2 charged's of simple battery. Fanisty Kennon is facing 6 counts of simple battery. All three have been booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Prison.

It appears all three of the women are no longer employed by the daycare.
