SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police are looking for two men who reportedly forced their way into a woman's home and attacked her while ransacking the place.

It happened around 1 p.m. on Gregg Street. Several items were reportedly taken from the house.

"They asked for items from her, ransacked the house, during that time they were in there, they struck the victim," said W.A. Vincent with the Shreveport Police Department.

The woman was left bleeding, with a cut to her head. She was taken by a private vehicle to he hospital for treatment of her injury. Police tell us she'll be ok but she might require a few stitches.

The two men were last seen running toward the Querbes golf course nearby.

Officers and K9 units have searched the golf course and the surrounding area. So far there have been no arrests.

Investigators believe the men eventually got in a car to make their getaway. They describe that car as an early model, maroon, Pontiac Grandam.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Shreveport-Caddo Crimestoppers at 318-673-7373.
