A bus carrying students from their junior high school crashed into a power pole Thursday afternoon just north of Hooks, Texas.
19 Hooks ISD students were on the bus. Authorities report that two were taken by ambulance to a local hospital. No one suffered life-threatening injuries.
Police say the bus driver had just picked up the students and was driving on state Hwy. 560 north of Interstate 30, where the driver lost control, striking the utility pole and knocking it down.
As of 4:30 p.m., the pole was lying across the Hwy. 560 roadway, and authorities have had to shut down that portion of the highway.
