CLAIBORNE PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

Three people were ejected from their car as it crashed Wednesday in Claiborne Parish. All three suffered minor injuries.

The single-car crash happened about 4 p.m. on state Hwy. 521 just north of state Hwy. 2, Trooper Matt Harris says.

Harris says the driver lost control of her car, left the roadway and hit a tree. She and the adult male passenger, along with an infant, were thrown from the vehicle.

They were taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

"Yeah, wow," Harris says, recounting the severity of an accident with no major injury.

The passenger was in and out of consciousness, Harris says. The driver told authorities that she remembers hitting the tree but little else.
