Classes will resume Tuesday at an ArkLaTex school, after some unwanted guests forced the cancellation of classes Monday.
Students and staff arrived Monday to find a number of birds, both dead and alive, inside the building used for pre-K students on the campus of Washington 4-A in Texarkana, AR.
School leaders decided the close the school while maintenance personnel cleared the building.
They believe the birds were roosting in the chimney and made their way inside the school and became trapped.
They say the chimney has been sealed and the building sanitized.
According to officials, no diseases have been found in any of the birds tested so far.
