The Montgomery County Sheriff's Department said about 30 Clarksville families woke up Saturday morning to find their homes or vehicles vandalized.
Lights were knocked over, mailboxes crushed, bird baths toppled, and tires slashed in the areas of Westchester Drive, Clydesdale Court, and Mountain Way.
"They busted up the dash on my truck, and they sliced all four tires," said Tim Vick. "It's very frustrating, especially when you've got deductibles you've got to pay too."
The sheriff's department has two juveniles in custody they believe set out to vandalize the neighborhoods overnight and later stole a car that was recovered. Officials said the damage is in the tens of thousands of dollars.
"Unfortunately, because they are juveniles, parents will be responsible for the acts of their children, perhaps liable," said Chaplain Ted Denny of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department. "Parents need to pay due diligence, keep a watch out, and know where their children are."
While they have two juveniles in custody, the sheriff's department said they believe more juveniles may have been involved.
