LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Thoroughbred trainer Dallas Stewart says he will ride jockey Robby Albarado in the Kentucky Derby. Albarado will be aboard Golden Soul.

Albarado was arrested exactly one year ago on May 4, 2012, the day of the Kentucky Oaks, on a domestic violence charge. He later was found guilty of wanton fourth degree assault, meaning Albarado knew his actions could cause harm but went through with the actions anyway.

According to court documents, Albarado's girlfriend claimed the jockey attacked her and that she drove to a hospital with a dislocated collarbone and bruises.
