SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport citizens have one last chance tonight to have their say about how federal dollars are spent in the city through the Department of Community Development.

The city is in the process of developing the 2014-2018 Consolidated Strategy Plan. As part of that plan, a public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, April 20, at Galilee Baptist Church Family Life Center, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The hearing is designed to receive input from citizens concerning housing, economic development, homeless facilities and services, as well as public improvement/infrastructure needs for the next 5 years.

The Community Development Department of the City of Shreveport, Louisiana offers services in the areas of affordable housing, workforce development, business development, permits and inspections, codes enforcement, and program funding for federal grants.
