ArkLaTex voters to face tax renewal, runoff questions this weekend

Tax renewals and a few runoff races will highlight this weekend's election activity in Louisiana, where fewer than half of the state's 64 parishes have no elections at all.

In the ArkLaTex, the race to watch is for the District 5 council seat in Bossier City between incumbent Larry Hanisee and challenger Tommy Harvey.

Sabine is the only other parish in the ArkLaTex with runoff elections, one for police juror and the other for alderman in the Town of Many.

Bossier, Caddo, and Red River parishes all have school board tax renewals. The Town of Ringgold in Bienville Parish has two town-related tax renewals.

Polling places will open at 7 a.m. on Saturday and close at 8 p.m. will have up-to-date election results directly from the secretary of state's office.

Then we'll have complete election coverage Saturday night on KSLA News 12 Weekend.
