P.A.C.E. representative Dr. Adrienne Critcher led the protest outside Rep. Alan Seabaugh's office on Wednesday.
A complaint on Wednesday against a proposed bill sponsored by a Shreveport legislator by a local gay rights group turned into meeting with him on Friday.
The group, known as P.A.C.E., says they were locked out of the downtown office of Rep. Alan Seabaugh two days ago and were unable to meet with him.
They claim that a bill he introduced, HB 402, would keep LGBT people currently covered by local ordinances, such as Shreveport's non-discrimination policy, from having access to state courts for cases involving employment discrimination.
Though Seabaugh met with the P.A.C.E. representatives on Friday, they say he has not changed his position on his legislation.
KSLA reached out to Seabaugh, but our phone call was not returned.
