SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Actor and first-time director Ryan Phillippe has taken to Twitter to promote his new movie, which was shot last summer in Shreveport and Baton Rouge.
In "Shreveport," Phillippe (Crash, Flags of Our Fathers, Cruel Intentions) plays a fading movie star who comes to Shreveport to film a low-budget movie, only to be kidnapped, held hostage and tortured.
Phillippe co-wrote the indie thriller with Joe Gossett. According to Variety, Producer Mark Burg is financing the film under his Twisted Pictures (Saw) banner.
The cast includes actress and comedienne Tig Notaro and actress Joyful Drake (Let's Stay Together, Get Him to the Greek).
