A lockdown at Pine Tree High School has been lifted. Earlier on Friday afternoon, a parent called the school district to alert administration about an issue between two students, neither of whom were on campus at the time.
"We feel the situation is under control," said T.J. Farler, the Pine Tree Independent School District superintendent.
Farler added that parents are being required to sign their students out when picking them up.
Although classes dismissed at 3 p.m., there were students on campus for athletic and drill team practices.
Pine Tree High School is part of Pine Tree ISD and serves students in grades nine through twelve.
