SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Caddo Parish teacher accused of showing racy movies to her elementary school class has been placed on administrative leave.

The mother of a 5th grade student at Oak Park MicroSociety Elementary says her daughter watched 2 inappropriate movies in class recently, the 2009 film Drool and 2010 film Insidious.

Athlene Bell says her 11-year-old daughter told her the movies were played off of another student's NetFlix account and projected on the classroom smart board. The teacher was there, and watched both movies.

The movies were reportedly part of a "free day" activity after LEAP testing.

A spokesperson for the Caddo Parish School District confirms the incident is now being investigated.
