Shreveport firefighters are working to find out what started a fire at a vacant house in the Cedar Grove neighborhood.
Firefighters say just after 3:30 a.m. Tuesday they were called out to a house on 78th Street near Thornhill and Line avenues. When they arrived at the scene, firefighters found the house engulfed in flames.
No one was inside the house at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported. Firefighters say the house was not destroyed, but it does have heavy fire damage.
Investigators say the fire started at the back of the house. They are calling this fire suspicious because the house was vacant and there were no utilities connected.
