PLAIN DEALING, LA (KSLA) -

The Bossier Sheriff's Office and the Plain Dealing Police Department arrested a Plain Dealing man Wednesday. They say the arrest solves multiple burglaries at businesses and residences that had stirred concern in Plain Dealing in the past few weeks.

D'lundarius D. Daniels, 18, of the 500 block of S. Arkansas St. in Plain Dealing, was wanted by the Bossier Sheriff's Office in connection with the April 13 burglary of a residence in the 400 block of Elm Street in Plain Dealing.

On Wednesday, Daniels turned himself in to the Plain Dealing Police Department on the warrant charge. But during the interrogation with detectives, they say he confessed to 11 other cases of burglary and motor vehicle thefts in the Plain Dealing area from March 29 to April 15.

Deputies also say Daniels admitted to detectives that he committed burglaries at Plain Dealing residences and businesses, including a gas station, snack shop, pharmacy and convenience store, in which he forced entry and stole various items, includes money, drinks, alcohol, cigarettes, camcorder, clothes and cash registers, totaling nearly $6,000.

They also say he also admitted to stealing a truck and a minivan from residences, but both vehicles have been returned to their owners.

"The cooperation between our department and the Bossier Sheriff's Office is what solved this case," said Chief Ronnie Murray, Plain Dealing Police Department.

"The CSI (Crime Scene Investigators) team and detectives with the Sheriff's Office did an outstanding job, and we are very glad to bring some closure to these cases for our residents and business owners."

Investigators still have active warrants on a second suspect in the burglaries and are asking the public's help in locating him.   He is Ladarrius Terrell Nelson, 21, a black male about 5'10", weighing around 160 pounds, and has ties to the Plain Dealing area and possibly Bossier City.

Nelson is wanted on 10 counts of simple burglary and one count of theft of a motor vehicle with a bond of $260,000.  Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Bossier Sheriff's Office at (318) 965-2203.

"The arrest of Daniels and the identification of his accomplice is welcoming news for the concerned Plain Dealing community," said Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington.  "Daniels is now behind bars, and we are working quickly to bring Nelson into custody."
