CADDO PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

The Caddo Sheriff's Office is asking for assistance in locating a Shreveport man who failed to register as a sex offender.

Deputies say David Breakfield, 51, was convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in September 1996 and molestation of a juvenile in October 2006.

Breakfield was released from jail in November 2012 and began the state-required process of registering as a convicted sex offender with the Caddo Sheriff's Office. Breakfield used the Wilkinson Street address of a family member to register, but deputies say he did not complete the process because he failed to send out his community notification cards and has never been located at his registered address.

Caddo Sheriff's Cpl. Michael Escude' obtained an arrest warrant for Breakfield for failure to register as a sex offender. Bond has been set at $20,000.

Anyone with information regarding Breakfield's whereabouts should contact Cpl. Escude' or Lt. Greg Winget of the Caddo Sheriff's Office at 675-2170, or the U. S. Marshal's Office.
