WEBSTER PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

Louisiana State Police have identified the man killed in a 2-vehicle wreck Monday night in Sarepta.

48-year-old Rodney Johnson of Sarepta died at Springhill Hospital, after his motorcycle was struck by an oncoming car at the intersection of U.S. Hwy 371 and Hwy 2 shortly before 10 p.m.

Investigators say the oncoming 2006 Toyota was driven by a juvenile as it headed west on Hwy 2. State Police say that after stopping at the intersection, the Toyota started to cross Hwy 371, directly into the path of Johnson's 2001 Harley Davidson.

Johnson started braking, but lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected, striking the Toyota.

The driver of the car was not injured. Investigators say alcohol use is not suspected. Routine toxicology tests have been taken for analysis. The juvenile has been cited for failure to yield.

The crash remains under investigation.
